I’m Still Here
And one day,
I just started coming back to life.
Finding joy
in all the things I used to love
The way the sun paints
golden light across the earth,
the way laughter
sounds like music,
the way my own heartbeat
reminds me I”m still here,
that my voice still carries weight
What a victory I’ve been given
to rise from the rubble,
to find the strength I thought was lost,
to uncover joy
I thought was stolen
And love
not earned,
but freely, graciously gifted
spilling over into the life
I am learning to call my own.
I exist
Almost suddenly
just as I am.
So purely,
in all my weird, happy, silly,
and beautifully deep ways.
